 Anton Gág’s artwork exists in New Ulm at the Brown County Historical Society, the Defender’s Monument located at Center and State Streets, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Turner Hall, the Wanda Gág House and several private homes. His work is also at the Minnesota Historical Society in St. Paul, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church near Zumbro Falls, Minnesota, and in private collections.

 Wanda Hazel Gag (1893-1946), author and illustrator of Millions of Cats, was the eldest of seven children in a talented family growing up in New Ulm, Minnesota. This community in the Minnesota River Valley, noted for its German heritage, is about 95 miles southwest of the Twin Cities.

Flavia Gag

 Flavia Gag was an author, artist, writer and illustrator of eight children’s books; she also illustrated 14 books and numerous stories for juvenile magazines. Flavia loved to paint nature and specialized in watercolor paintings of landscapes, animals and flowers. She also wrote and published a number of songs for children.
